Depending on the ambient temperature, cyclohexanol occurs as a sticky solid or a viscous colorless liquid with a camphor-like oder (solid @20°C)
Applications
Cyclohexanol is primarily used as a chemical feedstock and as solvent, e.g. for the production of cleaning products, building materials, paints and many more.
Storage
store in well ventilated, fireproof rooms. Use steel containers or specially adapted storage tanks equipped with indirect heating devices. Nitrogen inerting, vent valves and appropriate measuring equipment are necessary. Can be stored together with materials in the same hazard class.
