Akulon® PA66 HR is a reliable solution for radiator end caps due to its excellent hydrolysis resistance and good thermomechanical properties. It allows for lightweight solutions (10% lighter compared to PPS). Akulon PA66 HR HG7 has very good resistance to glycol/water mixtures used at high temperatures in automotive cooling systems. New materials used in cooling systems are required to have a flexural strength of at least 20 N/mm2 after emersion in a ethylene glycol solution for one thousand hours at 135°C (275°F).
