Akulon® PA6 is a thermoplastic with high heat resistance, making it ideal for applications such as food packaging films. It’s reliable, due to its stiffness and toughness, while a better surface appearance leads to more cost-effective solutions. Akulon® XS is an excellent alternative to PA6/66. Akulon® XS provides exceptional mechanical strength and durability, with easier processing than PA6 due to its slower crystallization rate. Due to higher mechanical and barrier properties, it reduces weight, costs and waste. Akulon® XS will also work with existing dies so there is no need to re-tool.
