Benefits
The shifter fork wear pad is mounted on the gear shifter fork and transfers a shifting force to the rotating sleeve during gear shift. Two components are required per fork to operate. Stanyl® TW371 has a max PV value of 40-42Mpa-cm/s. However, this application calls for a material with PV capability of 450 MPa-cm/s or higher. Because of the continuous lubrication available around the application it is able to withstand this. Lubrication carries out the heat generated in friction and helps the plastic component to extend its life.
